The so-called “SMART Path” financed by the European Funds for a Modern Economy 2021-2027.
Under one application, an enterprise can obtain support for the entire project, which will consist of the so-called modules. In this case, it places great emphasis on research and development activities. This is manifested in the fact that it is up to the applicant which modules he uses to compose his project, assuming that the application must contain at least a mandatory module. For large companies, this mandatory module is the “Research and Development Module”. The other modules to choose from are:
- research and development module
- implementation of innovations
- research and development infrastructure
- digitization
- greening of enterprises
- internationalization
- competences.
In the first stage, it is checked whether the project includes research and development work related to the development of a new product or innovative process on a national scale.
It is up to the applicant which modules he uses to compose his project, assuming that the application must include a mandatory module. However, the implementation of the results of the research and development module may be financed as part of the innovation implementation module or from your own funds.
Large enterprises applying for project support on their own can take part in the recruitment. Attention is drawn to the fact that, according to the selection criteria, large companies (except small mid-cap companies) must plan to cooperate with SMEs in the project in order to receive support.
